Outdoor structures in Lake Lotawana, MO
Boat, cart, and gear storage built for Lake Lotawana lots.
Shops, detached garages, sheds, and pool houses built on the hillside and lakefront lots of Lake Lotawana, with the city and the lake association both handled.
Lake Lotawana is a gated lake community with lots that slope toward the water, driveways that wind, and a storage problem every owner recognizes: the boat, the trailer, the golf cart, and the lake gear all need a home. A tall workshop or a detached garage with a wide roll-up door solves it, and the sloped lots often make a two-level design the smart move.
Lake Lotawana issues its own building permits and uses IBTS for inspections. Properties in the Lakeside Residential district also go through the Lake Lotawana Association. We have been building in the community from our Lee's Summit shop 15 minutes away, and both reviews are part of the job.

We prepare the drawings, file the application, and schedule the inspections. You sign, we do the rest.

Questions from Lake Lotawana homeowners
Who issues building permits at Lake Lotawana?
The City of Lake Lotawana issues its own permits through its permit applications, and building inspections are performed by IBTS. If your property is in the Lakeside Residential district, the Lake Lotawana Association has its own review as well. We manage both.
Can you build a shop tall enough for my boat?
Yes. Our shop models are built with 10-foot sidewalls and a roll-up door sized for a boat on a trailer, and we can go taller on a custom build. Tell us the trailer height and we size the door accordingly.
My lot slopes hard toward the lake. Can you still build?
Yes. Sloped lots are common at Lake Lotawana and we design for them, often with a two-level building that uses the grade instead of fighting it. The site visit tells us where the footing goes.
How far away are you?
About 8 miles, or 15 minutes, from our Lee's Summit shop. Configure a model for a ballpark price and request the site visit from the cart.
